So Nicole and I spent our Saturday today at a "Prepared Childbirth" class. It was pretty informative and stuff. Here are some of the funny things that happened:
Saw lots of videos with very exposed pregnant ladies.
The instructor talked about post-partum sex life for like 15 minutes.
Nicole and I were practicing our breathing techniques and I was breathing along with her. As I stared right at her, I dropped this big old drop of drool right out of my mouth onto my jeans. We both lost it. Hopefully I don't make her laugh in the middle of a contraction.
On Saturday when we were moving, my father-in-law was using our front lawn to stage things before I pulled the Uhaul truck in the driveway. Needless to say it was quite full of furniture and boxes after a little bit.
We must have had 4 or 5 people pull up thinking it was a yard sale. We had to keep telling people, "Not a yard sale....we're moving." Although for the right price there is quite a few things I'd sell.
Ok, so it was Wednesday night this week. We're on week 5 of this Song of Solomon series. And this is the week we finally got to talking about sex. We break up for discussion after the video teaching by grade and gender. So I've had the Freshmen/Sophomore guys the last few weeks.
We were just coming off winter camp and were talking about some of the late-night wrestlemania that was going on in our cabin.
So, I was trying to make a joke using random terms to transition us. For example: "While we're on the subject of cars, let's talk about Jesus."
So, I said, "While we're on the subject of wrestling, let's talk about sex."
Dear whoever found my blog by searching for "lovato training",
I will do my very best to train you in how to be a good Lovato. It is a difficult road, but with commitment and discipline you too will prosper in this field.
Ok, I also have to post this from last week's SNL. Nicole and I have been noticing that the writers have taken it up a notch so far this season. Super funny stuff. Anyways, if you're of our generation and grew up watching the Muppets, you'll appreciate this.
Jon posted this awesome story about his apartment. Here's a clip:
It started a month or so ago. My roomate TIM WILSON, managed to unscrew each and every light bulb in our apartment, then flip the breaker that supplies our entire apartment with power. My other roomates and I had gone out for some midnight Wendy's. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the lights didn't work - and then that they were uncrewed - and then that the power was off. We had no idea what was going on. After a few creepy moment I realized that the breaker was in the downstairs closet. AJ and I walked timidly over to the door and opened it. It was normal - having only our hang up jackets, a bike, surfboard, 2 snowboards, sleeping bags, and other closet stuff. A moment after feeling safe about the closet, Tim jumps from behind the hung up clothes scaring both the Holy Spirit and our recently digested, waiting to be released food waste out of our bodies. He got us indeed.
One of the first headlines I saw this morning was "50-Foot Michael Jackson Robot May Roam Desert." How can you not click on that? Read the entire article here. Here are a couple clips:
"It has now been claimed that his plans include an elaborate show in Vegas, which would feature the giant Jacko striding around the desert, firing laser beams."
"'It would be in the desert sands. Laser beams would shoot out of it so it would be the first thing people flying in would see.'"
