When in Doubt
I'm learning more and more that whenever you're in doubt on a situation....ask. When I'm not clear on a decision to be made is the time when I don't need to be making the decision on my own.
Case in point, I was ready today to have a conversation with a parent that could have done some damage. I wasn't 100% on the situation so I called a veteran youth pastor friend and asked his thoughts. He basically told me the exact opposite of what I was thinking and I knew in my gut he was right. Outside eyes are almost always extremely helpful to the situation.
Now, there comes a point where you have to make the final decision. But before it gets to that point, it makes sense to get all the counsel and feedback you can.

I just read a part in Next Generation Leader about this. Stanley said that solomon wrote the most about seeking advice. The guy who needed it the least worte the most about it. Good read. It's my 4th book this month.
