The message at my church yesterday was from Galatians 5:19-26. Our pastor pointed out something that was interesting to me. He mentioned that it's the "fruit" of the spirit, not the "fruits" of the spirit - meaning it's all or nothing. You can't pick or choose which ones you want. You can't use your lack of patience or self-control as an excuse. If you're a follower of Jesus you have these things through the Spirit. His point is that we have access to these fruit at all times, we just need to make the choice to activate the fruit (already present) in our lives. Some good thoughts to start off the week.
